Francis Coppola Diamond Collection Gold Label Chardonnay, 2010

This is a cheap white wine.  And I drink it often.

 

It’s decent, not spectacular.  The label is much too grand for the wine inside.  (It reminds me of select designer togs on the rack at Winners.)  It has oak, I think a tad too much, too forward, some butter, but not enough, overall typical of what you drink in California when you order a local chard by the glass at lunch in a so-so establishment.  There is nothing distinct or particular about it that makes you recommend it or want to stock up.  But the USD price?  Now that’s something lovely.

 

Price: $11.99 USD in Washington (an over-the-top entirely not worth $30 at select private BC wine stores).

 

Market Liquidity: Come to think of it, I will stock up.
