Terravista Fandango Albarino Verdejo, 2013

Gismondi gave this a rave review. But we had just drunk the Columbia Valley Buty, a far superior, more innovative, more interesting, and infinitely more versatile white blend. Oh Walla Walla, you put the BC Okanagan to shame… There are pleasant peach and stone fruit notes, an eclectic herby finish, and had the heft to stand up to/not get washed out by Asian cuisine. But, truthfully, it wasn’t as “fun” or exciting as we hoped, or at least as Gismondi had led us to believe.  And for $25, I think we’ll pass.

Price: $25 at the friendly VQA stores.

Market Liquidity: Interesting.  But John Du Pont was interesting.  Did his story warrant a two hour movie?
