Extremely good value and an incredible vintage. Don’t get me wrong; it’s not Hamilton Russell or Rombauer. But my gosh is it a good BC Chardonnay. It has beautiful fruit texture, isn’t cloying, displays both a citrus lightness and serious, hearty, vino complexity. The yeasty sur-lie dimension puts it miles ahead of the competition, but it isn’t too forward. Minerality blends with the vine and although it’s not exactly harmonious it is unequivocally delicious.
